Pizza Wednesday is a fun, tasty event open to students, parents, friends, and family members who are hungry and in the mood for company! Pizza, salads, and Cinnabread go on sale in the quad (or in the multipurpose room on rainy days) immediately after school is dismissed. It provides an opportunity for students to share a bite with friends in other classes, for parents to mingle and chat, and for the PTF to supplement its other fundraising activities. During the 2010–2011 school year, we were able to raise $6,400 to support our activities and events.
A slice of pizza is less than the price of a school lunch; the Dailard Deal pizza combo is only $1.25 more, and it is much more fun to eat! It’s no wonder that Pizza Wednesday is our most popular event!
How to Buy
Students can purchase pizza and pizza combos with cash or with a Pizza Card, a pre-paid $30 card kept safely in the hands of Pizza Wednesday volunteers so that students don’t have to bring extra money to school to participate. Even better, every pre-paid Pizza Card includes a free Dailard Deal meal! Although Wednesdays are Dailard’s minimum schedule day, Pizza Wednesday does not replace the school lunch; a full menu is scheduled and available during the school day in the cafeteria. Students who wish to eat lunch during Pizza Wednesday need only bring a snack to school.

How to Help
Volunteers are always welcome and always in short supply. If you think you can help staff Pizza Wednesday even just once a month, please contact Diane Ziegler (diane_ziegler@hotmail.com) on the PTF Activities & Events Committee to express your interest. (One perk of volunteering is that your child gets to go to the head of the line!)
